The lovely peaceful, Wanganui's only Qualmark 4 star rated, park is on the banks the Whanganui river. The old Waimarie paddle steamer passes the park twice per day. The park has several protected indigenous trees which provide shade for the warmer summer days. The park has huge playgrounds where any rallies, functions and sport could be held or practised.
