Mohi Bush: A native bush walk, with abundant bird life, 12kms from Waimarama.

Golf Course: Wairunga is a beautiful 9 hole golf course, located next to Mohi Bush. Open labour weekend to easter, hours available on request. Platter lunches available with an on licence. Phone John and Paulette on 06 8746839.

Rock Pools: Located at the southern end of the beach accessible by a short walk along the sandy beach.

Domain: A large grassy area with plenty of shady trees, picnic tables and swings for the children.

Fishing: Good fishing for the avid surfcaster,or kontiki enthusiast, good snorkelling, diving and crayfish potting. Boat launching for the boatie.

Forgotten Supplies: The local store is a colourful general store which has most provisions needed by the daytripper, or the staying visitor. The store frontage has plenty of tables where you can indulge in fish and chips from the takeaways, a coffee or an icecream. Surf board hireage available.

Beach: Sun, surf and sand, lots of it. A great beach for swimming and surfing. It is patrolled daily through the summer holiday period by the Waimarama surf lifesaving club.

Jarks café: located on the edge of the village offering an excellent seafood menu selection, fully licenced bar with indoor or outdoor dining for a relaxed, coastal feel.
