Welcome to 219 on Johns Motel and Holiday park (formerly the Groynes Motel). We are situated on the Johns Road by pass, 10 minutes north of the Christchurch International Airport, and opposite the Groynes, one of Christchurch's top recreation areas. Close by are the Clearwater Golf Resort, Antarctic Centre, Willowbank & Orana Wildlife Parks.

Studio Rooms - 6 studio motels, with double or twin single beds.

Family units - 4 family motels, each with two bedroom areas. Each unit has a double bed and single beds. These units can accomodate 4-6 adults.

Holiday Park:
We have 27 powered sites suitable for caravans and/or camper vans. There are also 12 un-powered sites suitable for tents or smaller vehicles.

We are located on Johns Road, which is the main by pass road on the north-south highway through Christchurch.

If you are travelling from north : We are 1500m from the Johns Road/Main north Road intersection, and we are on the left hand side of the road.

If you are travelling from south : We are about 4 km north of the Christchurch airport, we are on your right hand side.

Including walking tracks, picnic areas and coin-operated barbeques, trout fishing opportunities, the lakes and waterways provide both recreational activities, a variety of fun watercraft are available for hire, and habitat for wildlife such as trout and waterfowl. A suspension bridge crosses the river to a lake used by the Christchurch Model Yacht Club.
