The property was first established as a farm around 100 years ago. The old driveway to the homestead is still visible complete with stately oak trees towering on both sides of it and little cabins have been built beneath them. When hot water was found around 30 years ago, a huge concrete pool was built and school children from all over the district came to use it as part of their annual school picnics. The adjacent land was used as a sports field and the place used to be called Maryfields. The large pool is still available now with a toddlers pool. Drinking water: The artesian mineral spring serves all drinking water outlets and ablution and the pool (though it is no longer hot).
