Maitai Motor Camp is a beautiful native wooded envoronment on the banks of the Maitai River only 6.5km from the city centre of Nelson New Zealand. The 5.7 hectare Nelson Camp ground provides powered and unpowered camp sites and holiday cabins. With direct access to many Nelson walking tracks, mountain biking tracks, and swimming holes in the Maitai river, it is also on the access road to the 4WD drive Gold Trail Road to Pelorus River - a trout fisherman's haven. The Nelson 18 hole golf course is also only 2 minutes away
