Guided walks are popular among guests of the Lake Tekapo camp grounds. With a large variety of durations and levels of difficulty through some stunning landscapes, it is no wonder. Just three kilometres from the Lake Tekapo camp grounds and at 750 meters above sea level, the Lake Tekapo golf course is the highest recorded course in the southern hemisphere. With only nine holes, many rabbits, tussock and rabbit holes, it is reportedly a fun high country style golf course.
